We're pleased to announce the formation of the Potomac Curling Club Youth Scholarship!
The Scholarship shall be open to all individuals who have participated in the Potomac Curling Club Juniors program within the past 5 years and are currently enrolled or expect to enroll in a community college, 4-year college or university, technical college/program, or apprenticeship program in the next school year. Preference will be given to those who currently participate in the PCC juniors program or participated in it in the last school year.
These funds are to be used by individuals for tuition, fees or anything else that the IRS considers a “qualified education expense.”
Children or other immediate family members of members of the Scholarship Committee or the Board of Directors shall not be eligible for the scholarship.
Applications are due no later than February 20, 2026.
The Potomac Curling Club Youth Scholarship winner will be determined according to Merit & Leadership criteria demonstrated in a response to the prompt: “What skills, philosophies, or lessons have I learned as a part of the Potomac Curling Club Junior Program that I will take with me?”
The reply to the prompt can be either a 800-word (minimum) written essay or a 3-minute (minimum) video. More information is in the application.
