Book a Private Party or Corporate Event
Thank you for your interest in the Potomac Curling Club! Do you want to try curling with your friends or office mates? The Potomac Curling Club rents its facilities at the National Capital Curling Center for private parties or corporate events
What does the Club supply?
We provide all necessary equipment and basic instruction
What do I need to bring?
- Warm clothes
- Clean, flat, rubber-soled athletic shoes
- A desire to have fun
What should I expect during my rental?
Rentals are 3 hours long*, and we can work with you to customize your time and experience (e.g., build in time for a corporate presentation). A typical event flow is as follows:
- Instruction: A typical rental begins with 60-75 minutes of instruction covering safety, sweeping, stone delivery, scoring, a bit about curling courtesy and how to play the game.
- Short Break: Your group will return to the warm room to get warm, socialize as desired, and form teams for the game.
- A Game: Head back out on the ice to play an abbreviated game.
What days and times are available?
- Mondays starting no later than 12:00 PM.
- Fridays starting no later than 1:30 PM.
- Saturdays from 7:00-10:00 PM
- Note: Rentals must be booked with at least three weeks notice so we can arrange volunteers to work with your group.
What is the cost and how many people can be accommodated?
- $1250 for a two sheet rental (12-16 people)
- $1875 for a three sheet rental (17-24 people; minimum party size for Saturday events)
- $2500 for a four sheet rental (25-32 people)
- If you have a party of up to 40 people, we will charge and additional $60 per person starting at person 33
- $200 for an additional hour for warm room only prior to your event.
- A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
What are your COVID-19 policies?
The Potomac Curling Club has updated our COVID policies to remove our vaccination requirement. We ask anyone feeling sick to please refrain from entering the club.
