Womens All American Bonspiel

Join your fellow curlers for Potomac Curling Club’s USWCA All-American Bonspiel!
This year, Potomac Curling Club will be hosting its own USWCA All-American Bonspiel. The All American is an internal bonspiel held in each club as an all women’s event and we would love to extend an invitation to join in the fun! This season, our All American will be hosted on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025.

 Registration and eligibility

This spiel is individual-entry, with a registration fee of $30.  Teams will be assigned the week of the spiel. The coordinator will do the best they can to balance teams based on experience level.  We hope that curlers will enjoy a social day of playing with new people, making new friends, and building camaraderie within the women’s curling community at Potomac.  

Registration opens immediately! The USWCA rules state teams should be 4 players each, playing 3 games of 6-8 ends each.

All women’s curlers, including transgender women and gender nonconforming players who have paid dues for the fall 2025 season are welcome to play in this spiel. We also welcome junior curlers who are eligible to play in adult leagues. All players must be dues-paying USWCA members (either as a member of a USWCA club or an at-large member), and this is included with your PCC dues. More information about the USWCA’s standard requirements to play in an All-American bonspiel can be found here. 

It is possible under the rules to backfill empty spots to create 4 person teams with men, but this option will not be opened until the week of the event, and they will be limited to lead or second.  Hopefully, we will not need to do so.

Spiel Schedule
Per the USWCA Format, the event will be 3 draws of 6-8 ends.

9AM Arrival, meet your teams and newer curlers
10AM First Draw
12PM Lunch
1PM Second Draw
3PM Stacktime / Snacktime
4 PM Final Draw

Dinner and Awards at the conclusion of the final game
Food and Snacks
Stay tuned for more! Likely pizza for one meal and chicken and falafel from Olive on Main for the other.
