Directions for NEW Members

Please follow these directions to register for the Potomac Curling Club for the first time.

Note: DO NOT complete this form if you already have a Potomac Curling Club account. You will need to login and then renew your membership. Directions

Important Notes:

• After you complete registration, there will be a "Pay Now" button. Please use it!
  • You must submit payment for your registration to be complete! This will include your membership base fee.
  • You can modify Program selections after submitting your initial registration.   Profile -> Change Registration
  • If you need to submit a payment using your profile, follow these directions.
• Access to the League Lottery (ONLY during league registration windows):
  • New Members do NOT have access to the league lottery.
  • A New Member has not been a curling member of PCC in the last 2 full seasons.
  • Registration will close temporarily while the lottery is being conducted.
  • Sign up for Weekly Programs. 
• After the League Lottery has been conducted:,
  • Open League Slots will be available to New Members after the lottery has been performed but ONLY at the beginning of a season. Some leagues may require experience to play.

Step 1: Complete the New Member Sign-Up Form

• Enter your Contact Details
• Select your Membership Group (Curling or Non-Curling) through the radio button
• If Curling, select the Membership Fee / Category using the pull-down.  If Non-Curling, select the Social Membership using the pull-down.
  
• If you are a Curling member, please check the boxes for any of the following.  
  • Indicate interest in the League Lottery (additional info required), if available.
    
  • Indicate registration for a Capital League team.  This should be pre-arranged.
  • Indicate interest in any of our Programs.
    
• Select any "Additional Options"
  
• Select any "Discount Options", if applicable.  Note these only work for the Regular Membership Category. 
  
• Add any "Other Information"
• Answer a few required and optional questions
• Add League Lottery Information if you are entering the lottery. Detailed Instructions
  
• Click the "Validate Registration and Calculate Fee" button.
• Note: You can only go past step 1 if all of the required fields are filled out properly.

Step 2: Verify your information is correct

• You will see your registration cost listed at the bottom of the form.
• If you are satisfied, click "Complete Registration".  If not, click "Go Back to Revise Form"

Step 3: Payment

• Please read these directions carefully!  This is your easiest chance to pay online.
• Click the PAY NOW button on the right side of the screen.  You are NOT required to have a Paypal account.  You can pay with any credit card.
• Note: If you do not pay online, you will not be able to setup a username and password immediately.  The registration team will contact you with directions on how to setup your account, and submit your payment.
• All members are required to pay their registration base fee to retain membership and secure entry in the league lottery, if applicable.

Step 4: Create a Username and Password

• To obtain a username and password, use this link -or- click the "Login" link at the top of the website and click on "Forgot Your Username"
• Enter your email address and click Submit.  You will be emailed a temporary username and password.
• Login with your temporary username and password.  You can use the "My Profile" menu to select "Member Profile Update".  Use Membership Info tab to change your username and password.

Step 5: Volunteer Expectations

• All Potomac Members are expected to give 20 hours per year, 10 hours per season. 
• The Club has dozens of roles require all kinds of skills for all kinds of needs.

Step 6: Order a Name Tag

• As a new member, you are eligible for a free Potomac Curling Club nametag. Order one online. You can enter any text of your choosing! Use your name or be creative!
